Behind
Littleblue

Hi there !

JM here.  Nice to meet you  :)

I come from an architecture background and paint occasionally on weekends. Growing up, I attended art classes like many others. Although I don't have a formal art education, this hobby stayed with me all these years and over time, watercolour became my favourite medium.

"Littleblue" started as a little corner where I documented my artworks, long before I began painting pet portraits. Today, I create watercolour pet portraits inspired by my love for fur babies, especially because I never really had the chance to raise one myself, so I sketch and paint them instead (lol). During my uni days, I spent a lot of time practising, mostly using my family’s and friends’ pets as references. Over time, I began receiving commission requests, and that’s when I slowly started taking pet portrait commissions, bit by bit.

Painting pet portraits combines my love for art and fur babies, and nothing beats the feeling of seeing my clients’ reactions when they receive their paintings. Memorial portraits feel especially meaningful to me — they hit just so differently.

Somewhere along the journey, Littleblue quietly grew into something more meaningful than I had ever expected, and I believe in creating pieces that hold quiet memories regardless of the form they take. Ever grateful for every kind soul I’ve met along the way; they’re a big part of what keeps me going. 🀍

Art is personal, and if you're drawn to my painting style and considering a portrait of your pet, I'd love to hear from you : )
